Thank you for your interest in Stow Youth Cheerleading! Please review the below information prior to registering.
A cheer clinic will be held on May 4th, 5th & 7th, followed by placement evaluations on May 8th. We will have tumbling evaluations during the week for those athletes with a back handspring or higher.
Athletes will be placed on squads based on what you choose to register for as well as the athlete’s evaluation scores. We are limited in the number of cheerleaders we can include on sideline cheer squads due to the number of football teams, limited coaching availability, and league restrictions. We utilize the placement process to allow for the highest number of cheerleaders we can include in our program. More information on the placement process will be given on the first day of the cheer clinic in May.
Participation in OGYFA competition day will be optional for all Spirit squad and Saturday squad athletes.

For those who are new to the program or unfamiliar with competition squads vs. showcase squads, please see the detailed descriptions in each registration option below.
Cheerleading Squads:

This involves the lowest time and financial commitment. Practice will be held one day a week, and your child will cheer on the sideline for a portion of each of our home game days (dates and times are TBD).

-
Practice will be held twice a week. Your child will cheer on the sideline for a portion of each of our home game days (dates and times are TBD) and perform a showcase routine on the league’s cheer competition day.

Participating in a showcase routine allows each athlete to experience competition day without the pressure of being scored/competing against other squads.
