Stow Youth Football & Cheer Parent Code of Conduct
As a parent or guardian, you play a vital role in creating a positive and supportive
environment for all participants in the youth football and cheer program. By
adhering to this code of conduct, you contribute to the overall success and
enjoyment of the program.
I pledge to uphold the following principles of sportsmanship and good conduct:
Support and Encourage: Provide positive encouragement and support for your child's
involvement in youth football.
Respect: Treat all participants, including coaches, officials, players, and other parents,
with respect and dignity.
Sportsmanship: Model good sportsmanship by applauding good plays, accepting
game outcomes gracefully, and refraining from negative comments.
Communication: Maintain open communication with coaches and address concerns or
questions in a respectful and timely manner. Avoid public criticism of coaches, players,
or officials.
Focus on Player Development: Encourage your child to prioritize skill development,
teamwork, and fair play over winning.
Safety: Prioritize your child's safety by ensuring they are properly equipped and
hydrated
Positive Atmosphere: Contribute to a positive and enjoyable experience for all
involved by avoiding negative or disruptive behavior.
Teamwork: Support the team as a whole, rather than focusing solely on individual
achievements.
Responsibility: Supervise your child's behavior and ensure they adhere to the
program's rules and regulations.
Privacy: I acknowledge that program participants' private personal information is not to
be shared. This includes email addresses, phone numbers, home addresses, birthdays,
etc.
